First weekend of 2010 SCCA competition
I tried out the competition wheels & tires for the first time in the dry weather at the SCCA practice event this past Saturday. Cherie is a *dream* to drive! She just kept going faster, and faster, and nothing fazed her. Now that I’m driving a car that actually turns, I have to learn to stop using the brake in slaloms! Those gold wheels are ridiculously bling, but I got a good deal on them along with the Kumho V710 tires as a lightly-used set. All I know is I couldn’t stop grinning, and this year is going to be seriously FUN!

PCA autocross event #1
It’s not an in-car video, but here’s some footage of my first run in the Cayman! This was at the Oregon PCA club’s first event of the year. I had six dirty—but increasingly fun—runs then finally got a clean one (but no video of that, I’m afraid) to place 2nd of 8 in my class, and 12th fastest of 66 drivers overall. Let the good times roll!
